TYPICAL MISTAKES MADE BY STUDENTS FROM CHINA WHILE MASTERING ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION

Abstract. In the modern world it is almost impossible to imagine a person who doesn’t speak the English language, even if learning this language is hard for him. Thus, this article is devoted to the detection of the main pronunciation mistakes of the individual sound units of English among Chinese native speakers. In this study, there are descriptive method, which is used to get acquainted with possible mistakes in phonetic speech of Chinese people, and an observational method, as a result of which the typical mistakes in mastering the English pronunciation were revealed. During the research, it has been determined that due to the compared languages’ different structure, Chinese native speakers have some mistakes in the utter of English sounds while mastering English.
